Kiwi Polykote is a specially formulated, rigid coating system for Polystyrene.
The developers of Kiwi Polykote have been working in the film industry for a number of years making props for Television commercials and movies. One of the main mediums used for prop making is polystyrene, and after using resin based products to coat the polystyrene, they decided to come up with something more user friendly.
Kiwi Polykote adheres to almost anything with no pre preparation. It adheres to polystyrene, glass, wax (candles), concrete, paper, card, wood and.... anything else.
Check out the pictures below to see some examples of products coated with Kiwi Polykote
Kiwi Polykote comes in two systems, interior & exterior.
INTERIOR KIWI POLYKOTE:
This system is a plaster based mix. When added to water it is stronger than most plasters. It forms a strong bond when applied to polystyrene. It can be spread over polystyrene to any desired thickness.
EXTERIOR KIWI POLYKOTE:
This is a stone coloured product. When added to water it represents concrete, yet when coated onto polystyrene it is lighter than concrete ornaments or stone carvings, which makes it an excellent medium when creating exterior sculptures or other art work.
